About Us
S.C.A.M.P.S. is a not for profit organisation which was set up to address two urgent problems:
Specialist kennelling for stray/lost dogs
Training places for people wishing to work with dogs
We work with Local Authorities in South Hampshire and are keen to replace the current outdated kennels in Southampton with a new Regional Centre capable of providing kennelling and rehoming facilities in a rural area.
The centre will operate as a training site for people wishing to work with dogs (aimed particularly at young unemployed people).
We have identified a suitable site (a boarding kennels on the outskirts of Southampton) and are urgently fundraising to produce the deposit to buy.
In the meantime, S.C.A.M.P.S. continues to work with Local Authorities to help rehome unclaimed stray dogs. We are also fundraising to assist with spaying and neutering.
